Stunning wooden articulated lay figure from the 19th century in original condition. This item features metal pins, bolts and sprung joints. The figure is attached to a stand, but can be detached if preferred.  French, circa 1900
These were originally used in artists’ studios, and became so popular and in high demand that the mannequin makers went to great lengths to produce these beautiful figures that have now become works of art themselves.   A must have Decorative item!
