A beautifully proportioned Italian mid-century walnut cabinet, dating from the 1950s, with exceptional figured walnut veneer, elegant curved doors and generous, versatile storage.
 
The cabinet features two large gently curved cupboard doors, one opening to reveal 3 x spacious shelves and the other a useful combination of three smaller drawers above further shelving. The interior is beech lined and beautifully preserved and provides ample room for storage.
 
The exterior is richly figured throughout, with a striking symmetrical grain to the doors and a beautifully detailed central panel featuring elongated vertical carved decoration. The curved doors soften the strong rectangular form, while the raised tapered legs give the piece an elegant, elevated appearance.
 
The three full-width drawers beneath the cupboards provide additional useful storage, with original key escutcheons and hardware.  This is a substantial well crafted quality piece of furniture. 
 
With its relatively shallow 36.5 cm depth, this is an exceptionally versatile piece for a hallway, dining room, living room or bedroom.
 
Condition:  The sideboard / cabinet is in good vintage condition, with some age-related wear consistent with its age and usage, the walnut has a  lovely colour and grain pattern.
