Description:
A striking set of 8 x original Pieff dining chairs designed by Tim Bates, dating from the 1970s, featuring sculptural chrome-plated cantilever frames and distinctive original geometric upholstery.
The chairs have a wonderful 1970s modernist aesthetic, with polished chrome frames contrasting beautifully with the striking rich brown, tan and black geometric-patterned upholstery. The cantilever design gives the chairs an elegant profile while providing a comfortable seating experience.
The chairs retain their original Pieff maker's labels, adding to their authenticity and collectability.
A fantastic complete set of eight, equally suited to a contemporary or modernist interior, and particularly appealing to collectors of 1970s British design and Pieff furniture.
PLEASE NOTE THIS LISTING IS FOR THE SET OF CHAIRS ONLY & DOES NOT INCLUDE THE TABLE PICTURED.
Condition: The chairs are in very good vintage condition, with the upholstery is in fantastic condition and the chrome frames retaining a good finish, these were clearly only used on ‘special’ occasions.
